Last week I had a very successful group adventure at the Kiawah Island resort in lovely South Carolina. I took the opening photo at the luscious Ocean Course. The Pete Dye design follows the Atlantic coastline for ten holes exposing the player to substantial wind challenges and gorgeous surf views. As any golfer can tell you our main opponent is the earth itself, and this particular foe is formidable. Caddies carry your clubs and give you pointers on how to make shots because carts are prohibited on the course.
This Kiawah Island golf adventure is a short flight from anywhere on the east coast and must be on your list of places to play. Last week I had a group golf adventure based at Kiawah and we had a blast playing three different, world-class courses. The close proximity of Charleston was just an added bonus.
