The Caribbean for six please
During a discussion over Turkish tea this past week, I talked with a client about his near-term travel dreams. Something I love about this guy is he swings for the fences. Without hesitation he stated his intention to take everyone to the Caribbean because his four kids (ranging in age from 12 to six months) want to see white sand and blue ocean beaches. We started talking about the Turks and Caicos Islands. Known for their honeymoon beaches and world class diving, Turks and Caicos now have several family-focused properties perfect for his family’s needs. I learned a lot during this discussion. Maybe the first instinct for a person with four children would be a Disney-themed vacation, but they wanted something different! I also learned my friend has a pet coyote. People are fascinating, aren’t they?

Of course, I knew this, but we had a good laugh anyhow before diving into the detailed planning. The area around Kansas City is gorgeous with many venues offering facilities for quiet, intimate and adventurous group retreats.
