Fairmont Banff Springs Course
The Course - The Banff Springs course opened in 1911 and winds alongside the Bow River with Mount Rundle rising dramatically behind. The par 3, fourth hole, called the “Devils Cauldron” is a 192-yard carry over a still, water-filled canyon. Golf Digest rates this as a top-five classic course in Canada. Bring a camera as you may see a grizzly bear or elk on the green!
The Trail - Johnston Canyon, a short walk from Banff, follows a dramatic slot canyon to a series of ink-blue pools. Abundant wildlife sightings are the norm near the lower canyon in the morning.

Stewart Creek Golf and Country Club - Canmore

The Course - This Gary Browning layout is bold and dramatic, with elevated tees and sweeping views of the iconic Three Sisters mountain range. Over 7000 yards, this course is a genuine test for accomplished players. The 18th hole saves the best for last: a panoramic view of the entire course with Cascade Mountain as the backdrop. This course is one of Canada’s top public courses and remains one of the most iconic layouts in western Canada. For photos and more details check out the course layout here Stewart Creek Golf & Country Club
The Trail - The Grassi Lakes Trail, just outside Canmore, is a moderate 3-mile loop to two turquoise alpine lakes. Walk quietly and you may spot Bighorn sheep right on the trail, especially on the upper loop. Look up to see Golden eagles soaring overhead or perched in the cliffs above.
